Description
by Paula Murphy (Author)
16 countries, 32 teams, thousands of spectators, a dead American, and Phyllis Ludwigsohn is once again in pursuit of a killer. Some old frienda are back: Eric Mueller, considerably heavier, but her breath still smells like peaches, her six-year old daughter, now a head-strong 16, and Captain Chara deCastro of the Havana policia, her gay impulses held tightly under control (in public). Plus a whole new generation of suspects including Holly McPeak, EY, and Xi Zhang in this novella.
Author Biography
In many ways, Paula Murphy's life-story parallels that of her protagonist Phyllis Ludwigsohn. Born in Montreal Quebec, she was brought along with her family when her father, an aerospace engineer, moved to Southern California. Educated at California State University at Long Beach where she played field hockey for the college. A resident of Santa Monica today, she's had multiple careers--though none as a detective--and fewer relationships than her protagonist. Worries about who will take care of her parrots when she dies.
