Wind's Woodland - Paperback
Description
by Leoncia Cruz (Author)
Wind's Woodland takes the reader on a whirlwind adventure through a nearby woodland. Accompanied by a moustached beetle, a peculiar wind, and a curious dog, children learn about nature's connections from creepy-crawlies in the soil to the kooky sounds of the woodpecker to the ways the sun feeds the earth. The watercolor images and whimsical words of the story are followed by an educator's guide to related place-based lessons. Parents or teachers can use the story as an introduction to important environmental topics such as observations, life cycles, and adaptations using the step-by-step guide featured as an appendix.
