Born Anna Mae Bullock, Tina Turner started her life as a singer in her local church and elementary schools. Her ill-fated relationship with Ike Turner coincided with her meteoric rise up the Billboard charts, leading to her eventual fall. After retooling her image, Tina again exploded on the scene in the 80s. She passed from natural causes May 24, 2023. Twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a musical career that spanned half a century, Tina Turner's legacy isn't likely to be repeated.
