Author Biography

Tzvetan Todorov is the author of The Conquest of America, Mikhail Bakhtin, On Human Diversity, Facing the Extreme, Imperfect Garden, Hope and Memory, and The New World Disorder, among other books. Gila Walker has translated more than one hundred works from French, including texts by Jacques Derrida, François Julienne, Yves Bonnefoy, and Georges Didi-Huberman. Ryan Lobo is a producer, director, photographer, and videographer whose films have been aired on National Geographic International and Animal Planet. Lobo has traveled the globe and documented a variety of topics, including wildlife, science, archaeology, adventure, and nature.
