Time is Only an Inch: A Spiritual Memoir: The Universe Delivers (and Surprises) When Asked - Paperback

by Anya Kru (Author)

Anya Kru has unfinished soul work. In Time Is Only An Inch, she turns her world-teacher, artist, trekker-upside down to get a fresh start breaking free from an empty marriage, work, and the treadmill of responsibilities. This revelatory memoir also engages us in a celebration of resilience and a joy for living that drives her spirit. Anya first takes us on a trek through the Himalayas while reflecting on her alcohol-drenched childhood and her father, who paradoxically confirmed her self-esteem and grounded her in her love of the earth. Next, we sit at the feet of a parade of enlightened beings throughout India until we reach the Dalai Lama's Initiation training on compassion and service. Finally, we tour Egypt, where she finds passion and love.

Anya's journey raises obstacles challenging her to reunite with her true nature. Memories of death and loss haunt her quest. And she introduces us to her spiritual world, her kundalini awakening, telling us how she absorbs the energies of the earth to discover sanctuary there-its power to heal and restore. We are caught up in her expectation to find only physical freedom when instead she meets with reconciliation and a wiser sense of Self. Original, honest, and compelling, Time Is Only An Inch reveals the rejuvenating process promised by opening yourself to a profound relationship with the earth, its inhabitants, and the Universe, as it delivers one karmic lesson after the other.
