This book primarily addresses lukewarm Christianity and its pitiful practitioners filling pews and plaguing churches year after year. Religion, philosophy and psychology are being mixed and integrated by flashy pulpiteers whose abilities are enhanced by well-practiced oratorical wit and charm. The alarm is now sounding. Time is of the essence. Days are critically short. Our prayerless habits now define our powerless lifestyles. We must now move intimately closer to God or risk falling away. We currently have a systematic well-oiled machine called "church". We're good at it, and the devil himself has secretly hijacked our pulpits as an agent of provocateur. The church of Acts would be appalled at our compromise, lack of consecration and commitment. It is imperative that we immerse ourselves into sobering repentance, fasting and prayer once again. Where is that challenge? Who are the Prophets crying out, "Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him!"

Christopher White is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He served as an associate pastor before pioneering his own church which he pastored for several years. He has an intense desire for deeper encounters with God as it encompasses everything in life worth living and dying for. His conviction is sobering as his message is to alarm and awaken a lethargic and lukewarm church out of its mediocrity and slumber. The cry of his heart is for proven fruit of true repentance while living a lifestyle being conformed into the image of Christ, while passionately contending for the greater glory of God Himself. Brother Chris and his wife Mindy of over 40 years have two grown children and seven grandchildren. They currently serve as elders and itinerant ministers within their home church.
