The Tangled Webb: An Adoptee's Perspective - Paperback
Description
by Bonnie Schuon (Author)
My life was like an empty room. At first glance, my walls were painted, but the paint would peel in places because the primer underneath was missing. I knew I belonged to my family, but I didn't know how my life began or where I came from.
My first seven days were a mystery. I understand my Father in heaven created me, but where/who was the human who physically carried me for nine months?
I had roots in my childhood with the family God gave me. Solid, deep, loving roots, but I was "transplanted." I found strong roots with the family I married into. They gave me a new sense of belonging with another set of loving parents, two brothers, and most importantly, my husband, who is my soulmate. I was finally given "blood" relatives with the birth of my children and, later, grandchildren.
Something was still missing. The life I have now is my second transplant.
In my sixty-seventh year, God answered all my questions. I was led full circle back to my beginning.
I found the primer that was missing. The reason I was given up for adoption is irrelevant. God blessed me with the answers to my lifelong questions. I now know where I came from and how I got here.
As an added bonus, God, in His infinite mercy, led me to four loving half-siblings, three sisters, and a brother, who have all welcomed me with loving arms. I couldn't be more grateful and happy. I felt a sense of peace and contentment not known to me before this journey.
