The Petriarchy - Paperback
The Petriarchy - Paperback
Description
by Lynne Crawford (Author), Cassandra Harrison (Illustrator)
"The standard dog is seen as a Golden Labrador, so everything is designed for them. Golden Labradors are the measure by which every other dog is compared. Even though the system was designed for Golden Labradors, they too suffer because of its invisible rules and harmful practices."
Teddy is the bravest, most courageous leader the dog world has ever met. They just couldn't see it yet. Join Teddy, the Toy Poodle, on an adventure to find his purpose in life in a world designed for Labradors.
The Petriarchy highlights the social system of patriarchy in a way that kids can understand and enables adults to talk to them about the issue. The Petriarchy also encourages everyone to be their wonderful selves.
