The Old Bookstore Mysteries: Volumes 1-3 - Paperback

by Isabella Bassett (Author)

She pictured a slow-paced life nestled in the foothills of the Swiss Alps. Instead, she found a curious bookstore and murder.

If you love atmospheric European cozy mysteries, this is the series for you. Set in Ascona-a charming small town at the southern tip of Switzerland-the series centers on an old bookstore, its resident black cat, and the store's new English-speaking assistant, Anne.

Follow American Anne as she navigates her new life among the Alps, explores quaint towns, and gets entangled in cozy murder mysteries.

Out Of Print

Anne is looking forward to a stress-free life in one of Europe's most picturesque countries. And what could be more relaxing than a job at a quiet old bookstore?

Now Anne would be the first to admit that the store is a bit peculiar, but that's no reason why its customers should start turning up dead on an island, rumored to be cursed.

Can Anne, with a little help from the store's even-more-peculiar black cat, solve this mystery before someone puts her permanently out of print?

Murderous Misprint

Living in Ascona, a resort town at the southern tip of Switzerland, famous for its Mediterranean climate, palm trees, and Italianate villas, Anne expects life and work to unfold at a pleasant, unhurried pace.

But when Southern Switzerland's only pagan festival arrives in town, and women start dying, the historic hamlet is set abuzz by rumors of a modern-day witch hunt.

Can Anne find the answer to this mystery in old books about witch lore and potions before she becomes the next victim?

Suspicious Small Print

A sleepy backwater in Southern Switzerland, all Bellinzona has going for it, are three medieval castles.

But excitement begins to froth when archaeologists start losing their heads, literally, as Roman treasure is discovered at one of the town's castles.

Anne delves into the old bookstore's archives to uncover a long-forgotten secret, hidden deep behind the castle's walls, that someone is willing to kill for.
