The Author is Dead - Paperback
Description
by A. Carver (Author)
A new generation of mystery fans are trapped in a castle, and the author is dead. So begins a fair-play mystery novel uniting the detective revivals of Robin Stevens and Anthony Horowitz with impossible crimes worthy of John Dickson Carr and Christianna Brand.
Dear Reader, You are invited to join me at grand Carver's Rest - the scene of my murder. I am the author of this dark tale, and I've spared no pains to provide you with the perfect mystery: A closed circle in castle walls, untouched snow which a killer walked over, locked rooms sealed at the cracks with tape - and death after death. Here you'll meet my young fans, starting with Alex Corby: Last to arrive and first to find a corpse. She's out to put an end to my crimes, but her friends are more hindrance than help. Luckily for her, there's an old hand among the guests - but will they be able to beat me? And will you be able to beat them? Join us, by all means... if you think you're up to the challenge. I guarantee I'll play fair. But I must warn you: You won't win. How can you stop me when I am already dead? Regards, The AuthorCare
