In the winter of 2022, a blood vessel in Steve's head burst. The cerebral hemorrhage paralyzed the left side of his body. As his brain healed, he took the opportunity to change his way of thinking. Sunrise at Sunset is Steve's memoir chronicling the emotional and physical challenges he faced to regain his life. As he recorded his daily experiences through his recovery, he explored his fears and anxieties, allowing him to share his process of working through his unresolved baggage and moving from a place of self-neglect to taking responsibility. Through it all, he reveals the often-unrecognized gifts a traumatic, life-changing event can bring about.
