Spider Hunting - Paperback

by K. J. McGillick (Author)

She did everything right. It still put her in the middle of a murder.

Asia Blythe is on the edge of everything she's worked for.

Six years at a top Manhattan law firm. Three thousand billable hours a year. One step away from equity partnership.

The morning her colleague is stabbed to death on a Manhattan sidewalk, she's called into a partner's office and offered everything she's been chasing.

The price: $300,000.

Also waiting on her desk-his files.

A confidential case involving a $47 million art transaction. A medical company operating out of Beijing. And a trail of money moving through accounts that shouldn't exist.

Asia knows something doesn't fit.

What she doesn't know is that she's just pulled on a thread connected to a global operation-one that moves art, money, and identities across borders...

...and eliminates anyone who gets too close.

By the time the FBI steps in, it's too late.

Her firm is compromised.
Her mentor is lying.
And the promotion she thought she wanted is starting to look like a trap.

The only person she trusts is Sam Flynn-a former naval intelligence officer who sees the pattern before she does.

Because this isn't just a financial crime.

It's a system.

One built on stolen art, state secrets moving through diplomatic channels...
and something far more dangerous no one is supposed to know exists.

Now Asia has one job:

Follow the truth-
before the people she trusted decide she knows too much.
