Description
by Janelle Dietrick (Author)
A gold mine of circus and film history! Over 100 images.
The legendary Meers Sisters were the Sawdust Queens, star equestrians in Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth and the Paris Nouveau-Cirque in the 1890s and beyond. They descended from generations of circus artists, performing in their grandfather's circus from the time they were toddlers.
Newly discovered photographs, videos, and interviews reveal their compelling stories, and transport the reader to the golden age of circus and the vibrant early years of cinema.
