Marilyn's story is one of living with a rare primary immune deficiency, extreme illness, chronic pain and suffering. It is about living with misunderstanding, grief, and loss.

Marilyn wrote because she was compelled to write. She wrote because she was in extreme distress from experiences that created untold fallout and grief, but simultaneously provided the opportunity for regrowth and resilience. The act of writing has been as much a sanctuary for Marilyn, as Long Field Hollow, itself.

Marilyn writes to share what she needs to say. She writes to capture what others do not often write about, what she would want to find and read. She writes to express what may be difficult to hear, what takes courage and fortitude to articulate. Each day she balances suffering and solace, while being immersed in the resplendence of finding sanctuary in Long Field Hollow.
