Rufus: The Story of a Dog - Paperback
Description
by Karl Pruter (Author)
Bishop Karl here pens the delightful account of his long-time companion and traveling partner, Rufus, a big, red Irish Setter rescued from an animal shelter. Interspersed with humorous details of Rufus's experiences with friends and acquaintances are truly moving remembrances of Rufus's methods of dealing with Bishop Karl's wife, Nancy, during her terminal ordeal with Parkinson's Disease and advanced dementia. The dog not only provided a daily companion for her, at times preventing her from wandering, but also became adept at using his large well-padded frame to cushion her many falls. Rufus also accompanied Karl for thousands of miles during his travels, always making himself welcome in any venue. For animal lovers everywhere.
