Remora gathers four decades of poetry from Stuart Inman across four chronological sequences, spanning 1988 to 2023. Formally, the work moves between compressed lyric fragments and expansive prose meditations, the latter articulating a poetics of analogy in which language breaks identity apart to release connections unavailable to ordinary logic. Elegies, dream-poems, and lyric inhabit the same atmospheric register throughout: a world of beautiful, corrosive uncertainty in which the self is perpetually in dissolution.
