Author Biography

Daniëlle Bouwman writes children's books in which ordinary moments turn into extraordinary adventures. Through her stories, she hopes to inspire wonder in children, to give them a little courage, and to contribute to joyful moments of reading together. In addition to writing, Daniëlle enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three children, as well as having parties with her friends. That love for togetherness is reflected in all her books.

Sofie Nachtegael is a Belgian illustrator, teacher, storyteller, and daydreamer with a passion for books, yoga, hiking, and traveling. Her main sources of inspiration are undoubtedly children and nature. In her work, she finds it important to convey a certain atmosphere or sensibility, aided by composition and the use of color to take readers on a journey of discovery. Sofie loves to paint, but she also enjoys experimenting with other techniques, which she subtly combines with her painting style.
