Dr. Burkard Polster is well known for engaging the public with mathematics. He's the voice behind the popular YouTube channel Mathologer and the author of several accessible mathematics books. His work spans geometry (both finite and topological), combinatorial design, group theory, recreational mathematics, and the mathematics of everyday life, exploring intriguing problems from how to lace up shoes optimally to stabilizing wobbly tables. He is also a professor at Monash University.
