CANDICE RANSOM only ever wanted to be a children's book writer. She is the author of over 125 books for kids and young adults, including Apple Picking Day! and Pumpkin Day! in the Step Into Reading series. A teacher in the children's literature program at Hollins University, she lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with her cats, Faulkner and Edison.
ERIKA MEZA is from Mexico and has a taste for traveling. She creates detailed dreams in acrylic and watercolor, and explores her limits in other media. In addition to being an illustrator, she is a conceptual artist and animation geek. Meza is currently based in Paris.Care
