Playtime: Poems and Art - Paperback
Description
by Mary Eggers (Author)
Mary Eggers is both a published poet, and an award-winning visual artist who has been creating art since the late 70s. In 2015, she turned seriously to poetry. Poetry and art are part of her spiritual journey; she feels most centered when doing something creative. In his book, "Letters to a Young Poet," poet Rainer Maria Rilke writes, "...one slowly learns to recognize the very few Things ... that one can love and something solitary that one can gently take part in." Poetry, art and her sweetheart, Frank Simons, are her "very few things." She has studied with the poet Judyth Hill and is active in two poetry groups, one in San Miguel de Allende, MX the other in the Washington, DC area. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries from New York City to California. She is a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists, and the Baltimore Watercolor Society.
