WHAT REALLY HAPPENS BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF THE RAILWAYS?
The Story of an accidental railwayman
Gary Mewis fell into the railway industry by pure chance, whilst also pursuing parallel professions as an actor and presenter on national television and radio.
From the 'pipes' of London's Underground to the massive tubes of the Channel Tunnel; from High Speed in France and Italy to low speed in Athens; from the sweltering mosquito-infested heat of the Far East to rain-soaked depots in New Cross and Neasden, this story includes guest appearances from monarchs, presidents and Spike Milligan.
This is book of stories and events brimming with personal examples and experiences, written in straight-talking, honest language, it is not only for people who know railways from the inside, but also for those who travel on it and wondered why it works the way it does - and doesn't when it doesn't.
