On the Outside Looking In - Paperback
Description
by Joseph Wheeler (Author)
On The Outside Looking In is about how I came to view the American Experiment through my own experiences and that of black people around me. It is not a complaint, although there is some of that in this book. It is more of an observation of life, or an assessment of life, following the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. It's about history, combined with my personal stories to help the reader follow me on my journey to becoming a preacher and a civil rights activist. I have tried to be brutally transparent, so the reader should expect a few racy episodes. I guess I could be described as a heathen with few guardrails when I was a teen. But you won't find any immoral acts that do not occur in the Bible.
