My Teachable Moments: Stories of a High School Science Teacher - Paperback
Description
by Shannon W. McPherson (Author)
You are holding in your hands a precautionary memoir. This extraordinarily personable author thrills readers with her exploits and adventures as a die-hard "quirky" public high school science teacher.
With twenty-six years as a science teacher, she has plenty of teenagers-driving-you-bonkers experience and describes her knowledge of the school system through first-person experiences. The author's activities and stories are inspirational to anyone interested in what happens inside the classroom when innovative teachers are involved.
This book offers a compelling story that includes accolades for positive and uplifting administrative teams and challenges with negative supervisors and administrative teams she has encountered.
Dr. McPherson has reached a crossroads in her career. Will she continue to be a rock star educator, or will she leave the profession, and why?
This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys an honest memoir with experiences that will cause the reader to have their own "ah ha" moments.
