This book presents the first comprehensive publication of Meaniste in Ranutovac, one of the most significant Early Iron Age settlements in the central Balkans. Based on large-scale rescue excavations conducted along the E75 corridor, this volume reconstructs nearly eight centuries of settlement development, from the 12th/11th to the 4th century BCE. Through detailed analyses of architecture, stratigraphy, pottery, bronze and stone artefacts, faunal and botanical remains, and radiocarbon dates, the book offers new insights into household organization, economy, ritual practice, and long-term transformations in settlement use. Particular attention is given to the site's changing functions, from residential space to economic and ritual zones, and its connections with neighboring cultural regions of the southern Balkans and the northern Aegean. By integrating specialist studies and contextual archaeological interpretation, this volume provides an important contribution to the study of Iron Age communities, mobility, and cultural interaction in southeastern Europe.
