Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel: Paintings - Paperback
Description
by Gary Lee Kvamme (Author)
Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel was a plein air painter in watercolors and oils who lived and worked with her artist husband Elmer Wachtel in the Arroyo Seco near Pasadena, California, in the early 20th century. She painted primarily landscapes of the dramatic Californian and Southwestern terrain. Her work was valued in her own day, and her works were exhibited across the United States.
The present work showcases a fine array of new photographic images of paintings by Wachtel utilizing the Kvamme process of digital enhancement.
