Just Another Normal Day Till It Wasn't - Hardcover

by Anita Thakar (Author)

Four lifelong friends gather for a simple weekend camping trip one last escape from the chaos of everyday life. Around a glowing campfire, they jokingly admit what they secretly admire about each other: boldness, beauty, kindness, discipline. A mysterious woman nearby overhears their playful confessions and whispers a single word into the night:

Granted.

What begins as a harmless wish quickly spirals into unexpected chaos. Discipline turns into obsession. Kindness becomes impossible to control. Beauty brings unwanted attention. Boldness crashes through every boundary. As their lives begin to unravel in the most hilarious and unsettling ways, the friends realize something magical and slightly mischievous-has followed them home from the woods.

But their story is only the beginning.

In this heartfelt and often laugh-out-loud collection, lives intersect through strange gifts, unseen struggles, and moments of unexpected magic. A woman inherits the ability to glimpse the hardest moment in a stranger's day with only sixty seconds of eye contact. A daughter discovers her late mother may still be protecting her from the wrong people in the most embarrassing ways imaginable.

Through humor, mystery, and deeply human moments, these stories remind us that everyone carries hidden battles-and sometimes the smallest acts of kindness, courage, or love can change everything.

Warm, witty, and quietly magical, this book is a celebration of friendship, second chances, and the extraordinary power hidden inside ordinary lives.
