Jubal - Paperback
Description
by Barbara P. Walsworth (Author)
Living alone on a mountainous hill top, deep in the forest of Big Sandy, is just the way Jubal Holley likes his life, but life and people threaten to pull him away from it.
Four years in the army; two in Iraq which sent him home with disabilities; hearing loss and debilitating headaches, taught him to fully appreciate and love his land..., and the Hill Top above his cabin where he frequently goes to talk to God.
Sometimes, he experiences loneliness, but most of the time he is happy and content. Then, famous author, Alice Merick, moves back to Big Sandy. He has loved her since high school and now, suddenly, he has a chance with her.
Jubal quickly discovers this woman is not the girl he loved years ago. He becomes entangled in a destructive relationship with her which brings a new kind of misery into his life.
He strives to extricate himself from her and her deceitfulness and return to his peaceful life and the land he loves.
The story of Jubal involves a rogue bear, a forest fire, romance and one man's survival.
