What a wonder filled story this is! God takes a young boy from a small farm in Minnesota to Africa, and uses him and his wife in the Sudan and Ethiopia to translate the Bible in written and audio form. Preacher, pastor, teacher, pioneer evangelist, linguist, translator, career missionary and missiologist: Harvey and Lavina's story overflows with testimony to God's direction, empowerment, provision, and sustaining love as two people who love each other and love Jesus impact the lives of thousands in Africa and beyond. A masterful storyteller, Hoekstra engages the reader with all the excitement, fears, joys, and blessings of God's using this wonderful Christian family in His world-wide mission to the unreached. Here is an amazingly vivid and marvelously detailed account of mission that captivates us as if you and I were there too. This missionary autobiography is full of joy and wonder - enjoy!
