A graduated series of lessons for teaching the reading of music at sight in both Sol-fa and Staff notation. A short time (say 15 minutes) spent on these lessons every day will be found more valuable than a longer time once or twice a week. Ear-tests of a series of notes to be written down in the children's notebooks are given regularly. The use of well-known folk songs for practice is highly recommended.
