Foster Voltain had dreamed of marrying his childhood sweetheart his entire life. But when that dream crashed around him, he found traveling the world to be the only cure. In Salthole, he finds the perfect group, led by Lucius Silverblade, a half-elf with a lustful reputation. Lessa and Mason Fray, the beautiful cleric and the tiny thief who never wastes a moment asking Foster about his famous family. Bereck Carvel, a paladin of Otto, who only loves one thing more than his god, the mage Sunette Chelri, whose first meeting with Foster was one he'll never forget. Foster finds a fast friend in the bard Raven Bladespell who has more secrets than even she realizes. And it's clear the half-orc Twig is completely enamored of her. The eight of them travel the continent, fighting undead, evil entities, and elves. As the years pass, Foster's new dream starts to take hold. But while his heart yearns for a new love, he has to constantly remind himself she isn't his to love.
