Dilly and Pals: See Me Read - Paperback

by Holly Dibella-McCarthy (Author)

Dilly's friend is learning how to read and is excited to read a whole book to anyone who will listen. But what will happen to Dilly when her friend forgets to watch her while searching for his next big audience?

Dilly and Pals, See Me Read Level 1 Reader was written for every child who desperately wants to learn how to read, and for parents and educators everywhere who long to hear those magical words "I read this book all by myself!"

Dilly and Pals, See Me Read will provide a self-esteem boost to emergent readers. Adults who support beginner readers will understand the power that practice reading to people, pets and even a favorite stuffed animal can have while raising kindergarten ready kids! Young children will benefit from the repetition that is required for increased fluency, motivation, confidence, and self-worth.

This Level 1 Reader is perfect for children who know their letter sounds, use picture clues to help tell a story, can read a few simple sight words, understand that reading is done left to right, top to bottom, and can answer simple plot comprehension questions as they listen to a story.

For at-home practice, 32 high frequency words are listed in the back of this book. Free resources including pre-reading games and activities to support emergent readers are available at hollydibellamccarthy.com
