Diet of Worms - Paperback
Description
by Erik Rasmussen (Author)
A few years ago Larry Morvan lost his best friend, his girlfriend, his virginity, and his father during a three-day field trip. Now, on the eve of his 18th birthday, he's got a confession to make.
Larry Morvan is an underachiever searching for a hero among the ruins of his Long Island town as his daddy slowly dies. When his knack for drawing earns him a nomination to an exclusive academic field trip, Larry clashes with the real and the imagined, life and death, oaths and betrayal. Then one night, sneaking into a mountain forest with his redheaded crush and a trio of anarchist counselors, Larry's sucked into a strange seam separating perception from reality. Unhinged by distress, his journey leads to carnal transformation, and a reckoning.
At times exultant, at others misanthropic, A Diet Of Worms tells the story of a young cynic's misadventures on the hunt for something to believe in.
