Deux Gymnopédies Nouvelles - Paperback
Description
by Maxwell Sobel (Author)
Inspired by the famous Gymnopédies of Erik Satie, these two orchestral works, scored for two flutes, oboe, trumpet, horn, harp and strings were composed in 1966 in honor of Erik Satie's hundredth anniversary of his birth. Originally conceived as piano works, they were then orchestrated in 1968, much in the style of Claude Debussy's famous orchestrations of the Satie works.
