Buck Keeper of the Meadow - Paperback
Description
by Gloria Two-Feathers (Author), Sherrie Cosens (Illustrator)
The Great Prairie of old was a huge, mystical land - and dangerous.
Buck, child of the wild horses, was born during this time when Earth's magic was afoot.
One day, his father tells him its time to leave the herd. That Wakan Tanka has a plan for him. Buck is overwhelmed with sadness. How does a young horse find his way in the great wide world?
Armed only with a gentle but strong spirit, a love for the world and creatures around him, and stories of the before and ahead, Buck follows his hooves and his heart.
Will he find Wakan Tanka? Is there a place he can call home? Who and what will he find in the land beyond the herd?
Buck travels further than he's ever been. Into a land where the river forgets its name. Right into his destiny.
