Bob Gottier, The Forgotten Railfan - Hardcover
Description
by Steve Crise (Author), Jim Bunte (Author)
Bob Gottier (1951-2010) was a lifelong rail photographer from Pomona, California. When he passed, his massive 20,000-plus slide collection went to his elderly mother, who eventually donated it to a model railroad club, where authors Steve Crise and Jim Bunte purchased it. Bob Gottier, The Forgotten Railfan, is a tribute to his life's work of photographing the railroads of Southern California, including the AT&SF, Southern Pacific and Union Pacific. Nearly 200 stunning shots capture the second- and third-generations of diesel power that dominated the Southland for generations.
