Beyond Black Ice is an exciting winter sailing adventure about Katie, a skilled young iceboat racer, and her twin brother, Skip. Remembering her training and her coach's advice, she sets out alone across the frozen lake to get help, traveling beyond the safe black ice she knows so well. Along the way, she faces fear, exhaustion, and unexpected danger, but she refuses to give up.
