Magic in That Beat
For nearly four decades, journalist Chuck Schmidt has taken readers on an in-depth look into the expansive world of the Walt Disney Company. Not only does he continue to write about Disney in his Still Goofy About Disney blog, but he's written or co-authored seven books for Theme Park Press on his favorite topic.
In The Beat Goes On, a sequel to his On the Disney Beat book, Chuck takes us on another deep dive into the behind-the-scenes world of Disney he's experienced ... from his 12-plus years working as a cast member at the Disney Store, to taking part in several run Disney road races, to his interviews with Disney Legends, to covering major press events held in New York City, including the christening of the Disney Fantasy cruise ship in 2012.
Through it all. Chuck has met, interviewed and become friends with a host of Disney luminaries, including Tom Nabbe, Bill (Sully) Sullivan, Kevin Rafferty, Bob Gurr, Mindy Johnson, Dave Bossert, Tania Norris and the incomparable Marty Sklar ... all of whom are highlighted in Chuck's newest work, The Beat Goes On.
