An Answer To The Jews - Paperback

by Tertullian (Author)

An Answer to the Jews is a book written by Tertullian, a prominent Christian theologian who lived in the Roman Empire during the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. The book is a response to the arguments and objections raised by the Jewish community against the Christian faith. Tertullian uses his knowledge of Jewish scripture and history to refute these objections and defend the Christian belief in Jesus as the Messiah. He argues that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and that his teachings and miracles prove his divine nature. Tertullian also addresses the issue of the Jewish rejection of Jesus and the role of the Jewish people in God's plan of salvation. The book is an important work in early Christian apologetics and provides insight into the relationship between Christianity and Judaism in the early centuries of the church. For why should God, the founder of the universe, the Governor of the whole world, (4) the Fashioner of humanity, the Sower(5) of universal nations be believed to have given a law through Moses to one people, and not be said to have assigned it to all nations? For unless He had given it to all by no means would He have habitually permitted even proselytes out of the nations to have access to it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
