1,2,3... Eyes On Me - Paperback

by Sergio Serna (Author)

1, 2, 3... Eyes on Me is an adult thriller about Sonia Ortega, a calm and razor-sharp San Jose kindergarten teacher with a deadly second life. By day, Sonia teaches children how to listen, focus, and follow directions. She knows how to control a classroom without raising her voice, how to read behavior before it becomes a problem, and how to make even chaos feel manageable. By night, she works for a covert organization that handles threats the normal world cannot touch. After returning home to San Jose, Sonia begins teaching at an elite private school that also serves as an intelligence hub. At first, the arrangement feels almost perfect: a real classroom, a real purpose, and a family close enough to remind her who she used to be. But when Sonia notices student files that are too clean, parents who ask the wrong questions, and a hidden system quietly watching children like future assets, the life she built begins to fracture. Then her seventeen-year-old sister, Lucia, gets too close to the truth. As Sonia's two worlds collide, she is forced to confront the one thing she cannot control: the cost of protecting people she loves. Part assassin thriller, part family tragedy, and part conspiracy drama, 1, 2, 3 Eyes on Me is a story about control, loyalty, grief, and what happens when the safest place in the room may be hiding the deepest danger.
