The Ear of wheat - Paperback
Description
by Olha Tkachenko (Author)
The famous old Ukrainian folktale about a Rooster and two mice teaches kids to be responsible and wise. The hardworking Rooster finds an Ear of Wheat and decides to bake buns. His friends mice Spin and Twirl are happy but don't care about helping the Rooster. In the end, the Rooster gives a good lesson to his lazy and careless friends so they change their behavior!
The book is retold, translated to English, and illustrated by Canadian Ukrainian artist Olha Tkachenko. It is published in two languages, Ukrainian and English, at the same book that makes the book very helpful for those who learn Ukrainian and Slavic folklore, both children and adults. The cartoon style of illustrations and many dialogues make the story fun and attractive for small kids.
