Consequently, Scattered Leaves was first published posthumously in French. Scattered Leaves contains some of Crevel's most personal and poignant poems. It also foreshadows his death. This edition includes a short autobiography. D M Mitchell's unsettling collages, which successfully evoke the atmosphere of the era that Crevel's poems were written in, parallel the oneiric content of the poems rather than literally illustrating them. This is the first ever English translation of René Crevel's Scattered Leaves.
