This is a collection of poems rooted in the pride, beauty, spirituality and complexity of southern Black American identity.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Chrys grew up learning and loving black southern culture in all its aspects. This propelled them to earn a degree in Print Journalism with a minor in African American Literature from Rust College. Chrys is currently getting a masters of Divinity and working as the Associate pastor of First Christian Church in Rogers, Arkansas.
