Author Biography

Dr. Steven R. Gundry is the director of the International Heart and Lung Institute of Palm Springs, California, and the founder and director of the Centers for Restorative Medicine in Palm Springs and Santa Barbara. He is the cofounder of GundryHealth.com, his telemedicine portal for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, and increased intestinal permeability. After a distinguished surgical career as a professor of surgery and pediatrics and chairman of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Dr. Gundry shifted his focus to curing modern diseases through dietary changes and the use of supplements. He is the author of several New York Times bestselling books, the host of the popular The Dr. Gundry Podcast, and the cofounder of GundryMD.com, his company that sells supplements, skincare products, and food items. He has published more than three hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals on how heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, increased intestinal permeability, and many other conditions can be addressed through diet and supplementation.
