Once a household name associated with American industrial might, Detroit has since become a symbol of American urban dysfunction. The election of Detroit's first Black mayor in 1973 acted as an accelerant for the accumulating incompetence, crime, and corruption-and the concomitant exodus of Whites from the crumbling city.

Originally published in 2012, Escape from Detroit has since fallen out of print due to deplatforming, and is now being resurrected and preserved by Antelope Hill Publishing in this newly-edited edition.
