This course is the first concrete step toward discussing at length the topics related to developing a strong Islamic moral character, which lies at the core of this program. Extensive research on character development shows that the initial years are critical in children's moral and emotional growth. Traditionally, Muslim children are taught to focus solely on performing worship rituals to attain inner purity, which often tilts the balance toward the rights of Allah (SWT) while neglecting the rights of fellow human beings. This course aims to bring about a much-needed paradigm adjustment by creating a balance between the rights of Allah (SWT) and the rights of people. It will delve deeply into the Quran and Sunnah, uncovering the rich guidance they offer on character building. Examples from both sources will highlight various human virtues and demonstrate how Allah (SWT) and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encourage Muslims to embody these virtues in their character.
